Experts might recognize the bassist of Sadistic Noise and one of the hardest pounding drummer (session to Kawir e.t.c.) in Greek Metal scene. “MacGyver is a different kind of hero: he doesn't use weapons, he's afraid of heights, and he's an expert at making complicated machines out of ordinary things quickly. He works in the employ of The Phoenix Foundation, a think tank dedicated to improving mankind. Pete Thornton gave MacGyver his assignments, occasionally getting involved himself or lending Foundation resources for MacGyver's various personal endeavors. Another sometimes accomplice was Jack Dalton, a long-time friend with a penchant for getting himself into trouble and relying on MacGyver for helping him out of it. MacGyver also had an archenemy, Murdoc, who sought to kill MacGyver many times, often through the use of ruses and elaborate traps. MacGyver's first name was a secret until the final season, when we learned just why he chose not to use it. MacGyver was produced by Henry Winkler/John Rich productions in association with Paramount Television.”

21 Years Later...

Ένεκα της ημέρας και μιας που λέμε ότι είμαστε και κάπως μουσικόφιλο μπλόγκ δεν γίνεται να μην θυμηθούμε την απώλεια του Μάνου που πάντοτε θεωρούνταν εκπρόσωπος της μεγαλοαστικής τάξης και των ιδεολογικών συμφερόντων της, μα η πολιτική του ταυτότητα, όπως προκύπτει, από γραπτά του, παραμένει ακαθόριστα αριστερόστροφη. Φοίβος Δεληβοριάς: Music Suggestion Of The Day 14/06/2015

Σήμερα είναι και μια μικρή έκπληξη καθότι προτιμούμε Ελληνικά, με τον καλύτερο, νομίζω, όλων, μουσικοσυνθέτη και ερμηνευτή του λεγόμενου ελληνικού έντεχνου (κωλοδάχτυλου), του οποίου πατέρας θα πρέπει να θεωρείται ο Διονυσάκης ο Σαββόπουλος, άνθρωπο που εκτενέστατα καλύψαμε στις 30/05. Ο Φοίβος εκτός του ιδιότροπου ονόματος του διαθέτει τόσο χιούμορ (για να αυτοπαρωδείται και να αποφεύγει την κακεντρεχή κριτική), όσο και εγωισμό (για να συνθέτει κλασσικόμορφα, ελληνιστί, τραγούδια που θα άνηκαν εύκολα στην μπουάτ των 70’s), αλλά και άποψη (δες closing photo) και σαφέστατο ταλέντο τόσο στην μουσική ενορχήστρωση, όσο κυρίως στη στιχουργία, για να αποτελεί σε καμιά 20ετια από τώρα τον Σαββόπουλο της γενιάς μας….

Phoebus covers every criteria to be considered in 20 years’ time a Savvopoulos of our generation..
