I’m going to apologize once more for my lack of
consistency.. This time it wasn’t the fault of some internet provider…it was my
own… I’m pretty exhausted and in dire need of some serious time off… this is
coming soon… but until then we have to keep on rocking… and what better way to
continue struggling than thrash metal, with one classic, but only amongst
thrashers of the past, Danish band named Artillery…
Artillery are one of
Europe’s earliest exponents of thrash metal, and the band’s contribution to the
genre is difficult to ignore. The Danish quartet successfully managed to fuse
an abrasive brutality with technicality and strong melodies, with the
noteworthy guitar leads of the Stützer-brothers as well as the remarkable
vocals from Flemming Rønsdorf serving as highlights.
Today we are listening backwards in time… Starting off
with their magnum opus album of early 90’s (By Inheritance) we follow Artillery
till their raw and awkward debut album and demos preceding it… Thanx to DanVergara for compiling.. For more
