Celebrating Metallica 12th Studio Album

Wow! It’s surely overdue, a new post in Kokdi’s world…But better late than never

And what a way to make a post than setting a countdown similar to Hardwired (Link 1 Link 2 Link 3) but not celebrating as much, as then

When it comes to Metallica Family some shit come to be more serious than a simple suggestion; to my mind that is

Lux Aeterna happened to occur, although a major (positive) surprise, during a personal “all time low” as Pap Het says; Or so I thought (once again)

Normally the piece was about Metallica’s 12th album with it’s official release set to the Orthodox Christ burial just 2 days before Easter…Way too many coincidences to be left unmentioned by a hardcore Met fan always thinking himself tied to this great band’s music and influence, something like Lemmy with way more personal reference involved…Forgive my delirium the post is about music

Full speed or Nothing, something like zero to one hundred (a thousand even),

for those who can get my very self-absorbed reference, kicked off the world’s anticipation for what’s expressed as the most intimate studio release of the prestigious band; kind of an “inside joke” between us Metallica’s hardcore fanbase whilst always well aware that Mets are always hungry to bang some heads that doesn’t bang still… So the lyrics should hit my every aspect of life mixing it with sounds I'm rather keen on…

As Jaymez said during their 40 years live show, a couple of years back, “We Know we are created / born to play this kind of music and we thank you for being there along the way appreciating the music”.

We nevertheless do know after 41 seasons in the format of BIRTH – SCHOOL – METALLICA/the art of living – DEATH that we are equally Created to act according to the art worshipped, like an unforgiven with wounded self esteem worn under a proud skin, like an addict with/without a cause, like a scorned but worthy individual that still stands, born to lose yet living still, attempting to win what’s fair to fight for, abiding to his/her own guidelines, disregarding the superficial, exploitive ethics, society deems as standard;

like an angry thrasher that knows that circumstances won't ever be mature enough, like a common dysfunctional working class hero, a rock n roll enthusiast, like a super hero with no abilities and no means, that manages to create his/her own personal field to feel responsible to, his/her own Gotham City to protect, always aspired from a band of misfits that dared (and succeeded) dominating the world through a metal-up-your-ass underground music, that we grew to adore and a sense of a family like togetherness  amongst strangers that only share the experience of banging their heads with exhilaration the moment they heard the first note of Hit The Lights (or Spit Out the Bone for that matters)…..

Before anticipation proceeds, family answered the call.. so here you are, 77 minutes stronger with high hopes and expectations for the newborn to live up to the monster they created, yet the monster we still love to be driven by....
