David Bowie 1967 - 1977: Music Suggestion Of The Day 19/07/2015

Since we started referring to iconic personalities and it is Sunday, I think it would be fitting to suggest the greatest, multitalented, chameleon of Rock… Starting off as a MOD-er, practically founded glam, imposed as pop-rock guru, produced albums, dared to meddle with orchestral music, heavy metal (Tin Machine) and electronica, acted as Alien and Pilate in movies (among others), only to remain as Ziggy the undisputed mega influential persona of the 70’s! From Iggy to Ian Curtis, from Reed to Mott the Hoople, from Rod Stewart to New York Dolls and others, opposite to each other, but a keen to the Grand Buddha of our music (ranking #10 @ My Top100 List), always visually transforming and musically reinventing the Bowie approach to the masses….Take For Example the various musical collaborations

Personally I would rank the selections of 12 releases in 10 years accordingly and not chronologically (e.g. The Spiders Of Mars 1972, Aladdin Sane 03/1973, Space Oddity 1969, Hunky Dory 1971, Pin Ups 10/1973, The Man Who Sold The World 1970, Diamond Dogs 1974, Low 01/1977, Eponymous 1967, Young Americans 1975, Station To Station 1976, Heroes 10/1977). But I preferred the chronological order not to confuse and mislead those who don’t know (??)

It was as difficult to decide what to exclude of these golden, groundbreaking releases… That’s why I could alternatively name this compilation “the complete first 12 releases with minor exceptions”... and not lie about it!! Nevertheless,
