I have often said that one of the great injustices is
that today’s band was left out from what named as Big Four of US Thrash metal.
With Exodus being in the exact same list, today’s suggestion is rather different
because a) this band was never in hiatus and b) as Kreator did in Europe they
have remained the most persistent band in the genre (as far as US Bands are
concerned). With the 90’s destructive period for Thrash in mind, let us not forget,
that they still managed to release a mega album (as Horrorscope) within this
particular decade and have their mediocre moments but always within the realms
of the thrasher’s abiding ethos for musical experimentation. As Kerry King used
to say: “In 1985 to 90, everybody was
